It is hard to believe in this age of information and higher education that parenting skills and life skills are not at the highest level in the history of mankind.  They are, however, far from that.  Too many children are brought into this world without the benefit of parents that are able to nourish, train, and raise children to be a productive adult.  While there may be myriad reasons for this, suffice it to say that there are now more children in need than ever before.  That is why The Children’s Home Foundation supports the work of caring and nurturing for these children who need our compassion and love.

Because of its success and rich history of helping children, The Children’s Home of Lubbock is an extremely important organization in the West Texas area.  Since 1955, the Home has provided a shelter for children caught in the middle of life’s storms.  In order to provide for the long-term needs and stability of the Home’s ministry, The Children’s Home Foundation was established in 1995.  For over a decade, the Foundation has significantly impacted the Home’s work with its distributions to the ministry of caring for children.

Each year, from earnings on its assets, the Foundation helps make possible the programs and services rendered by The Children’s Home to the children and families it serves.  This would not be possible without the friendship, prayers, and support of those who share the desire to give children a chance to grow and mature physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

In this website you will find numerous ways by which you might help in this worthy and long-standing ministry.  We pray God’s blessings to be upon you, your family, your children, and to consider how you might help us care for young people who, otherwise, might fall through the cracks of our society and never know the loving kindness of those who try to carry out the Lord’s work by caring for children in need.
